DOP Salary / Pension Credit in Finacle

Uploading the Salary / Pension file in FinacleMENU - 

HTTUM 

This option is available only for SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Pre-requisites

1. An excel file with the following columns to be prepared for Pension credit

2. An excel sheet with following columns to be prepared for Salary Credit

3. An exe will be provided to convert the above excel sheets to the prescribed txt formats.

4. The generated .txt files can be stored in the desired location.

(Please note: Uploading of salary and pension has to be done only after BEGIN OF DAY (BOD) of last working day ie 31/01/2014 January 2014)

Procedure to upload Salary / Pension 

1. In ‘Report to Field’, enter ‘DoP’.

2. Transaction subtype should be selected as ‘Transfer – Bank Induced’.

3. Select ‘POST’ option for Action.

Note : First Do the Action as Trial and Correct the Error before Post

4. Select ‘On successful upload’ for Rename File after Upload.

5. Select ‘Local File Path’ and click on ‘Submit’ button.

6. Next screen with ‘Browse’ button will be displayed; select the finacle format file. 

7. Click on Go/ press F4 using KeyBorad.

8. A message ‘Batch process initiated’ will be displayed.

9. Go to HPR to see the success report. Also check OFTI report for getting the details on posting. Note down the system generated Transaction ID.

10. Check whether the “SALARY UPLOAD ACCOUNT” (SOLID0409) is debited for the entire amount and also check the individual credit of salary for each account.

11. Check whether the “PENSION UPLOAD ACCOUNT” (SOLID0408) is debited for the entire amount and also check the individual credit of pension for each account.

12. Salary and Pension account will always be in Credit (-ve) to that extent of salary and pension payment made.

13. Take a print out of Ledger copy of SOLID0408 AND SOLID0409 using the menu 

HACLPOA

14. The Dr should be equivalent to the salary or pension credited for the month. It is the duty and responsibility of the Supervisor to ensure that the amount debited from Salary and Pension account is equivalent to the credits made in respective salary and pension accounts.

15. Check whether the system generated ID is posted using HTM. If it is not verified, Tran ID is to be verified by the Supervisor.

Refund of SCSS TDS amount in DOP finacle

• As per the DOP norms if the total interest amount on the SCSS principle exceeds Rs 10000/- then an amount of 10% TDS will be deducted.
• If the TDS amount is deducted for a particular SCSS account then the same can be inquired using the menu HTDTRAN.
• The total interest amount and TDS amount will be shown as in below figure by invoking the HTDTRAN menu as follows  

• If the customer submitted tax form(15G/15H) then we have to enter the same in account level and CIF level as mentioned below.

At CIF level

• Invoke the menu CMRC then select the function as "Modify" and enter the CIF id of the customer as shown

• Then click on Go in the next screen select the field tax deducted at source and fill the same with "NOTAX" from the searcher if the customer presents the tax form.

• Then click on submit and verify the same CIF Id in the supervisor menu.

At Account Level:-

• Invoke the menu CSCAM then select the function as "modify" and enter the account number as shown below

Then click on Go system will open a new application in the next screen enter the following

• Enter the column Tax form as "15G/15H"
• Select the field Tax category as "N-No Tax"  as shown

Then click on Submit and verify the same in the supervisor login

Note:-If any account modification is pending for TDA accounts(SCSS/TD and MIS account) then the system will not generate interest on the due date which can be inquired by using the menu HAFI or Scheduled reports available for System Admin,So immediately verify the account modification done for TDA accounts for smooth functioning.

Procedure for Refund of SCSS Tax in DOP Finacle:-

• If the customer presented the tax form(15G/15H) even though tax is deducted we have to refund the amount by using the menu HRFTDS.
• Make sure that tax deducted is not uploaded in the income tax traces before refunding the amount to the customer by using the below procedure.

HRFTDS means Refund TDS

• Invoke the menu HRFTDS and enter the following fields

1. Enter the field Report To as "postmaster"
2. Enter the refund CIF if as __________
3. Enter the From a/c id __________
4. Enter the To a/c id _________
5. Select Include closed a/c as "yes"
6. Select Accrued TDS as "Yes"
7. Select the Tran. Type as "transfer" avoid selecting cash if we select the cash then it will be blocked and there will problem at the time of EOD so select the transaction type as transfer as shown

Then click on "GO" then the system will show the tax deducted in the next enter the Refund a/c id as "postmaster id(SOLid+0340) or Customer SB account" as shown

Then finally click on submit and note that there is no verification for refund of TDS done for SCSS account by the above procedure.

Extend the benefit of Bonus Act,1965 amendment on enhancement of payment ceiling to the adhoc Bonus/PLB of Central Government employees with effect from the Financial year 2014-15 9. Ensure Five promotions in the service career of an employee 10. Do not amend Labour Laws in the name of Labour Reforms which will take away the existing benefits to the workers 11. Revive JCM functioning at all levels

Haridwar/New Delhi: The Centre's initiative to get 'Gangajal' delivered at doorsteps by Indian Postal Services may receive a jolt after saints in this holy city on Wednesday passed a "censure motion" condemning the government for using e-commerce platform to sell the holy water. They warned the government to stop commercialisation of Ganjajal, else they would move the Supreme Court (SC). "This is Hindustan. Ganga is our mother and the soul of over 100 crores Indians. Selling mother is not just a sin, but a greatest sin. Ganga is our faith. We condemn the scheme launched by the government. If they don't stop it, we will move to the Supreme Court," Swami Achyutanand Teerth Ji Maharaj told ANI after their proceeding was over. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "If Gangajal from Haridwar and Rishikesh reaches to villages of the country, it's a good thing. It will benefit the rural areas. We are changing the face of the country through the postal department." As per reports, the plan to provide the holy water has already been implemented by some of the e-commerce websites and for a litre bottle sourced from Gomukh, the place from where the river originates, the e-commerce company charges Rs 299. Cadre Restructuring in Postal department Group ‘C’:- The postal Directorate issued orders on the Cadre resturcturing. As per the order the Distribution of Posts in A.P.Circle are :- (Disclaimer: The information posted is may not be true. This is for sharing of information only. Total PA LSG HSG-II HSG-I Total Before cadre restructuring 7403 287 G.pay: 2800 98 G.pay : 4200 87 G.Pay: 4600 7875 After Cadre Restruturing 5106 1960 G.Pay: 2800 635 G.Pay: 4200 157 , 17 G.pay: 4600 /4800 7875 Some Points are:  More number of LSG posts are attached to the circles. In this order nowhere said this posts should manage by MACP-I . As the posts are to be filled though LSG selection only. Circles exercise to prepare LSG lists and grant promotions. Right now in A.P circle Year 1988 (nearly) LSG promotion list is moving. If LSG promotions has given to the granted 1960 Posts almost all cross the G.pay Rs.2800/- and to work as SPMs in single/double handed offices. The posts of HSG-II are 635 and even if all LSG officials got promoted to HSG-II some more posts are vacant due to non availability of suitable service of official. Same as for HSG_I promotions. The order is silent about other issues of cadre restructuring cases for SAs in RMS, C.O , Accounts , Postman , especially Postmaster Cadre. Let from above total : (LSG) 1960+635+174=2769 carved out 1/3rdequals 923 Posts should have been allotted to Postmaster grade. Let a Circle with 38 divisions of each an average of 50 post offices. i.e circle with 1900 post offices . As per the above order no of Posts are granted 2769 rather than existing offices. The Transfers and Postings in LSG, HSGs are through Circles. Nowhere said in the order about MACPs manage these offices. Whom will get benefit is not clear through this restructuring. As seen from the above a few officials could get financial benefit. Many confusions are to be clarified . ****** Department Recent order on One Time Relaxation for Promotion to Postmaster Grade-II, GR-III. In this order Some ambiguity is there:- Promotion is granted to the officials who have completed 50% of required service for promotion. But this promotion is not treated as regular. Not told about to give adhoc promotion. But some circles are interpreted as adhoc promotion and issued orders for 11 months promotion. (after 11 months are they to revert?) . But the true spirit of the order is promotion is to be given and not treated as regular and on after completion of required service of 5 years (for PM gr-I) may be treated as regular.
